Ardoch’s NSW Expansion When: 10 Dec 2019 Ardoch is thrilled to announce that we have commenced an important expansion into NSW. Thanks to the support of the Ian Potter Foundation, Eldon & Anne Foote Trust, Morpheus Foundation and Lyone Foundation, we are scaling our Education Volunteers Program. Over the next three years, Ardoch will be partnering with a minimum of 20 primary schools in Sydney’s Western regions of Cumberland and Fairfield. Through these programs we will be improving literacy skills and connecting positive roles models with over 1000 children in these communities of residual disadvantage. In addition, support from Perpetual Trustees will enable us to deliver our Literacy Buddies® programs in collaboration with five community partners in NSW. Our experienced team have been working diligently to kick start the expansion. Our first NSW-based team member, Skye Taylor, has hit the ground running and we have delivered our first volunteer training sessions for interested Sydney-based volunteers. We are excited to report that we have already secured our first three school partners and placed four volunteers into these under resourced schools to commence supporting children from Prep to Grade 2. This expansion is an incredibly important step towards achieving our 2025 Strategy which will see Ardoch supporting 500 schools and early years partners around Australia. We look forward to keeping you updated on our work in NSW and our growth in this region.
